This is the support page for Mind with Marcus, the iOS app from Westwood Hills, K.K.. Marcus is a personal coach you can talk to, text, or bring along with you. He is not a medical or mental-health service.

Contact us

Email info@westwoodhills.jp with “Mind with Marcus” in the subject line. We read every message. If your question is about a purchase, include the date and the pack you bought so we can find it quickly — never send passwords or full card numbers.

Voice / Talk

Tap Talk and speak. The microphone is on only while you are in Talk or Come With Me; the “Mic on” indicator at the top of the screen shows this at all times. If Marcus cannot hear you, check that Mind with Marcus is allowed to use the microphone in iOS Settings, and that you are on a stable connection. Tap Away to end the conversation.

Text

Tap Text to write to Marcus instead of speaking. The microphone stays off. It is the same Marcus, with the same memory of your conversations, so you can switch between talking and texting as the moment allows.

Come With Me

Come With Me brings Marcus into a situation as it happens. He listens and stays silent until you tap Leave; afterwards he can talk with you about what he heard. While Come With Me is on, everything said near your phone — by you and by people around you — is processed; the app reminds you of this while it listens. Please tell the people you are with, and use it only where that is appropriate and lawful where you are. Come With Me keeps hearing with the screen locked or the phone in your pocket, until you tap Leave or your Marcus time runs out.

Marcus time and in-app purchases

Talk and Come With Me use Marcus time; you start with a free amount. When it runs low you can add time inside the app in packs of 15, 60 or 120 minutes. Marcus time does not expire. Prices are set and shown by the App Store in your local currency, and every purchase is made through Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com; if Apple refunds a purchase, the corresponding time is removed from your balance. If a purchase completed with Apple but your balance did not change, reopen the app (it reconciles pending purchases on launch) and, if it is still missing, email us with the date and pack.

Account, data and privacy

There is no sign-up. Your Marcus time and your conversation history are tied to your installation of the app: memory of your conversations is kept on your device, and your time balance and purchase records are kept by us. To erase what Marcus remembers, tap Marcus’s name on the home screen to open About Marcus and choose “Forget everything Marcus knows” (your Marcus time stays), or delete the app. About Marcus also shows your installation ID — include it if you email us to delete your server records.
